Meet Chester the 48kg German Shepherd!

This big handsome guy joined me to work on engagement and severe lead pulling. Before Chester came to me, he pulled his owners around on every walk, and on one occasion pulled his owner over in order to get to another dog across a busy main road. This had to stop, as it wasn’t only dangerous for his owners, but it was also dangerous to himself and others! I had to work really hard with Chester as he didn't take food outside and just generally wasn't interested in training. But soon enough, using lots of positive reinforcement and elements of consequence in the right places, Chester became a pleasure to walk on the lead and his owners can now take him out without worrying about him pulling them over and being a fruit loop! I look forward to seeing Chester soon, he’s a fantastic dog with heaps of personality and a very fast learner when he understands what's expected of him!
